April 2026 Community Mgmt Action List

Steering Committee
Property Management

The steering committee met with the Roberts Staff on April 28, 2026. Our goal is to meet with them regularly so we can stay informed and continue to push for the items promised to us that have not yet been completed.

1. They said that they haven’t hired staff yet for Oak Forest/Village Farm, but have let their HR department know this is a top priority as of now. The folks who are working the front desk are all from other local parks and have been filling in. They need to hire everyone from the Manager, Assistant Manager, Maintenance, Front Desk, and Cleaning Staff.

2. The sound barrier walls have not yet been placed to help reduce the sound from the recycling factory. That should be happening in the next few weeks.

3. They are going to work on a plan to help the Farm Side neighbors get sheds. It is possible that they will create a station where all the sheds will be, and we can have our own, or they may tell us what kind of shed is allowed next to our home, and then we can hire someone to make it ourselves, meeting their requirements.

4. They are working with their lawyer to get the documents in place that allow people who have been trying to sell their tiny home for over three months, the ability to find a long-term (year-long) tenant to rent their homes.

5. They are aware of the major issues with Village Farm Drive and are working to get a contractor who knows how to care for this road to bring it back to shape and then keep it maintained.

6. They understand the issues with our skirting being damaged by their landscaping staff and will approve people placing a rock barrier around their house (as far as we understand, everything still needs an emailed approval) to protect your skirting. They will let the landscape staff know that any new issues are their responsibility to fix. They will get back to us about what to do with the already existing issues.

7. They are fully aware that any contractor or landscaper they hire for issues around the neighborhood needs to use organic materials to preserve the organic farm.

8. They are trying to get to the bottom of the many landscaping issues on the founder's side. They’re aware that things have gotten really weed-infested and grass has died, and they’re figuring out who is in charge of what. This is something they didn’t have a clear answer on.

9. They’re going to try to utilize one email address to send to us tenants because with them using so many different ones, sometimes it often goes to spam, and we don’t get the email. They’re trying to figure out this process in Rent Manager.

10. They are looking into fixing Hidden Valley West Road as well.

11. They’re aware of and will work to get the shared areas that are filled with dog poop and fire ant hills cleaned up and taken care of.

12. They’re speaking to their landscapers about how their drive-on mowers tore up the yards due to them being extra wet. This shouldn’t have happened.

13. They’re aware that with all the rain we’ve had, there is standing water between tiny houses and that they should’ve been graded so this doesn’t happen.

14. In order to do any landscaping around your home or to paint it, you must get written approval via email from Elvira esaldierna@robertsrc.com.

We discussed the following requests from the Farm as well:

1. They need to get the tool shed ready for the pottery classes. Erin is to send the kiln info to Sheilla so that she can make sure it’s all set.

2. Moving and redesigning the shipping container so that the farmers can store their big equipment in it.

3. Removing all of the debris that the farm has recently cleaned up. They can get a dumpster brought over.

4. Fixing the Children’s Garden Playhouse and buying the equipment to do so. They are going to talk to their insurance to make sure that it’s done correctly for the children’s safety and get back to the farmers.

This meeting was an hour and a half, and we felt heard. We know a lot of this is still in waiting mode, but we’re hopeful that with our continued meetings, we get more items taken care of so that our neighborhood can be all that it was promised to be.

Lisa Apfelberg, Dennis Gillespie, and Van Guerrero
